Cow Corner is your resource for robotic milking. I only work for you. I am not tied to a milking equipment company’s agenda or a feed company’s marketing program. I am here to put my years of experience as a dairy farmer, AI technician, reproduction management consultant, and dairy equipment company consultant to work for you.
As your consultant, I have more time for you - time to be present on your farm on a regular basis and time to know your business better. I have more flexibility to design a consulting program that meets your needs, and flexibility to work with the people that are important to your success.
WHY "COW CORNER?"
The short answer is, “I won’t cut any corners.” But, there are a few other angles - or corners, if you will - that led to Cow Corner. So here’s the long answer:
CORNERSTONE DAIRY
The name of my small dairy farm business where my career began as owner and operator in East Central Wisconsin. Cornerstone Dairy was smaller than any of the farms I work with today, but the pride, responsibility and work ethic of ownership were just as big – and I gained a deep respect for anyone in the business of taking care of cows every day. After 18 years as a dairy farmer my career turned a corner and I spent 16 years in the AI industry as a technician, AI trainer and reproductive management consultant. Around another corner, I discovered robotic milking as a herd management consultant for a dairy equipment manufacturer. Cow Corner is built on 40 years of dairy industry experience.
COW CORNER
I don’t know much about the British game of cricket, other than that it bears some vague similarity to baseball. But I do know that there is a region of the cricket field called the “cow corner.” Historically, the cow corner was an area of the field where the ball was never hit, so it was safe for cows to graze during the game. Think of Cow Corner Consulting as a safe place to graze for information and ruminate on ideas about robotic milking. You know your dairy better than anyone, anywhere. I have learned things about robotic milking from dairy farmers all over the US and Canada. Cow Corner is where we can meet to find the best robotic milking management strategies to fit your dairy and your goals.
ANOTHER CORNERSTONE
My dairy was called Cornerstone Dairy because Jesus Christ was and still is the cornerstone of all that I do. My intention is that all that I do brings glory to God and serves those around me according to his example. Around every new corner in my work, there is a new opportunity to share God’s love in sending his Son so my sins are forgiven. My biggest problem is solved. With that knowledge, the rest of my problems are much more manageable.
